Ah, vintage Superman comics, always so full of crack. In the Superman Annual (v1) #03 from 1961 Lois learns a good lesson for dumping another dude for Superman. She promised she'll go on a date with him but since she has another date with Superman 3 hours later, she tries to scare the other guy away. Nothing should come in between her and the Man of Steel!
It was both a lesson to the young readers and Lois obsessing over Superman. She wanted to marry him so much she didn't realize at first he was tricking her. The usual.
Would she accept him the way he is if he was actually... ugly? What if Superman had a secret he kept from the entire world? Learn this and more in the hilarious story of "The Two Faces of Superman!" The entire 8-page story is underneath the cut.

One of the outfits Lois is wearing looks very much like Kate Bosworth's in Superman Returns! Coolio.
( 'Now that we're engaged, would you tell me the secret of your identity?' 'Of course! Come to my apartment right now and I'll reveal it to you!' )
That's all Superman and Lois did back then. Teaching each other lessons. *laugh* Nice way of showing kids how to behave, what not to do, etc. But they could be very mean about it, both of them. Superman was often acting like an ass and all Lois thought about was tricking him into marriage.
I'm glad we live in different times now and that comics aren't strictly for kids anymore.
